PRAY FOR ME BY GALINDO RIP

I met the amazing George Galindo, ex prisoner of 16 years at a tattoo convention n Dallas many years back. When I saw his work I was blown away, the reality of it all. He was so happy when I asked if he would create some pieces for Bajito Onda he asked me what I would like. I asked for him to create among things in his fresh mind a fresh Virgin. One day I received this and some more cool really cool designs in the mail. This was one of them. Another one is a total shocking surprise coming up. This design I have colored in the past. It may come to with a slight colorization due to the fact that I almost never color art that comes from prison due to my knowing how hard it is for them to get any kind of color except using their little golf like pencils. If you think prisoners are sitting at an art table drinking coffee and eating snacks you are very wrong. 99% of them have nothing at all. Some of the colors used in prison cell art is actually from the melted down color in printed magazines. Or from a little candy if they can get one, they can melt them down and use the color.
Well my buddy Galindo has also passed away but for a long time he would just surprise me with little goodies to add to the collection. So sad when I lose one of them. Seems like we were just sitting together last week and then they are gone or in George's case I lost track of him for a couple years cause I knew he was dong a reality show in Florida or somewhere and I decide to write him to say HI. I thought it was strange he never wrote me back.
When I met him that first day I ask him if he would do some designs for Bajito Onda and he smiled real big and said 'You got it - its an honor'.
So PRAY FOR ME is just one of his cool designs.
