UNLEASH THE DEMONS #12605-077 BY TORRES

I had a dream one nite and it was so vivid I knew it had to become a member of the Bajito Onda Prison Art Collection Brand. I wrote to Torres the incredible artist and told him I wanted to meet with him at the Unit he was in and discuss the details I had in my head. Torres was a very violent inmate. Life meant murder or murders. He was one of the most difficult I dealt with but his art was as I told him many times. He was the Picasso of prison artists.His detail, his interpretation of my ideas passing them onto him and sitting back often for months waiting till I received another masterpiece in the mail. One day this piece came to me in its familiar big brown envelope. I was flabbergasted
The first thing that caught my eye was how he had worked my prison number into the piece spewing out of the main subject's mouth. He of course was the main subject in his likeness. He was breaking free of the bars of prison and the chains of cuffed oppression with the big rough stones of the B and the O for Bajito Onda. Above him are the sins and the life of violence so common in the vida loca (the crazy life). If you look closely you can see the faces of the lives still trapped behind prison bars, and at the bottom are the iconic masks representing 'SMILE NOW - CRY LATER" - These are icons of the culture no having anything to do with theatrical masks at all.
The Lettering Bajito Onda was created by the wonderful Native East Dallas tattoo artist who made his name known all over the world at tattoo conventions in Milan, and many other parts of the world. I knew Boog since he was 17 tattooing people out of his little apartment in Mesquite, Tx. Boog passed away last year from cancer, but he graced the Bajito Onda Collection with around a dozen gorgeous pieces of lettering and art works who are now tattooed on people around the world from Sao Paulo, to London to Sweden and Copenhagen.
